Learning at Clearview Christian College
At Clearview, we create a dynamic, fulfilling, and supportive environment that guides your child confidently along their journey to adulthood.
We understand that the transition to Secondary school can feel overwhelming for some students, so we are committed to making this important step as smooth, encouraging, and enjoyable as possible. Through a nurturing community rooted in Christian values, we empower students to explore and develop their unique interests, talents, and passions.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet Australian and Queensland standards, offering a broad and varied program that supports each student’s individual pathway beyond school. We place a strong emphasis on place-based education and active learning experiences that engage students beyond the traditional classroom. By connecting learning to the local environment and real-world contexts, we challenge students to think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and apply their knowledge in authentic ways.
Clearview provides not only academic opportunities but also a rich array of extra-curricular activities, enabling students to grow holistically—intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Here, every student is equipped with a clear view of who they are and inspired to take purposeful steps toward their future, ready to positively influence their world.

Delivered during two lessons each week, this program is designed to nurture students’ personal growth, resilience, and capacity to thrive both academically and socially.
Years 9-10 Curriculum
In Years 9 and 10, students begin to tailor their learning pathways to reflect their individual interests, strengths, and future aspirations. Elective subjects offered during these years provide opportunities to explore areas of passion and build foundational knowledge and skills for senior subject choices.
All students continue to participate in core subjects, ensuring ongoing development of essential knowledge and skills. In Year 9, students select three elective subjects, and they are encouraged to choose subjects they intend to continue in Year 10. This approach allows them to consolidate skills and deepen understanding, preparing them for the senior years.
In Year 10, students continue their study of the three elective subjects chosen in Year 9 while maintaining engagement in core subjects. During the first semester, students begin their Senior Education and Training (SET) Plan, which helps them make informed senior subject selections and ensures alignment with prerequisites and career pathways.
During the CLEAR program lessons, all students also participate in the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) Careers Education course, which contributes one point toward their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) upon completion.
